1. Wash Your Face

Choose from gel based cleanser or foaming facewash that contains salicylic acid. You can also use a medicated soap or cleanser with tea tree oil or neem. Ensure you use a non abrasive soap or facewash on your skin as these can rob your skin of its natural moisture.

2. Use Blotting Papers

To use, mix a generous amount of this clay with rose water to form a mask. Clean your face well and apply the mask on your face and neck. Leave the mask on your skin until it becomes dry. Dip a wash cloth in warm water and wipe off the mask and rinse your face well with lukewarm water. The mask will removes excess oil, impurities from the clogged pores and results in bright healthy skin.

5. Oatmeal And Honey Mask

5 Blast off oily and acne prone skin with oatmeal and honey DIY mask. Oatmeal is a natural exfoliator that gently scrubs off the impurities from your skin. It removes the dead skin cells without aggravating the breakouts. Honey is natural hydrant that helps to retain skin moisture and the antibacterial properties of honey make it ideal for oily skin to get rid germs and bacteria. Take ½ cup of oatmeal and add some hot water to it to form a paste. Add 1 tablespoon of pure honey to it and blend it well. Apply the mask after cleansing your face and leave it work on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry. Alternatively mix oatmeal with yoghurt or papaya or even bananas and apply as a mask on face for 15 minutes and rinse well lukewarm water.

6. Egg Whites And Lemon Face Mask

6 Tighten your skin pores and fight greasy skin with a egg whites homemade mask. Egg whites are known to tighten the skin and help to absorb excess oil from the skin. Lemons work on skin as exfoliator and help to brighten dull skin. Extract juice of 1 lemon and mix it egg whites of 1 egg. Blend the two ingredients well and apply the mask evenly with help of brush on your face. Leave it on until the mask dries off completely. rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry.

7. Tomatoes

7 Tomatoes are cooling agents for your skin, this tangy ingredient hydrates your skin, absorbs excess oil, and unclogs pores. The salicylic content in tomatoes clarifies your skin naturally. To use tomatoes on face, simply cut tomato in two halves and rub in circular motions on your face. Let your skin soak the goodness of tomatoes until it dries off and wash off with cool water and pat dry. Apply oil free moisturiser. Alternative pulp of 1 mix tomato with a teaspoon of sugar and apply it on your skin as scrub to remove dead skin. Leave it to dry for 5 minutes, rinse and apply oil free moisturiser.

8. Aloe Vera

8 (2) Aloe vera is known for its anti bacterial and skin soothing properties. It absorbs excess oils from your skin and helps to fight acne breakouts. Extract fresh aloe vera gel from its leaf and store it in a glass jar. Apply a thin layer of it every night to get clean and smooth skin. You can also use aloe vera gel together with oatmeal to scrub off dead skin cell and rejuvenate skin naturally.

9. Almonds

9 (2) Almonds not help to absorb excess oil from your skin but also help to scrub off dead and dull skin cells. Crush 5 to 7 almonds and add 2 tablespoons of pure honey to it. Apply this scrub on your face in circular motions and let it stay on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse well, pat dry and moisturise your skin with oil free moisturiser. You can also grind almonds to fine paste and apply it your face as mask to absorb greasiness from your skin. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse well, pat dry and moisturise.

10. Apple Cider Vinegar

10 Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is acidic in nature and it helps skin to restore its natural acidic content. The antibacterial properties of ACV remove excess oil, dirt, grime and germs from your skin. ACV also helps to dissolve dull skin and gives your skin an even tone. Dilute ¼ cup of pure apple cider vinegar with ¾ cup of water and apply the solution on your skin with help of a cotton ball. Let your skin air dry for 10 minutes and rinse well.
